David Benning
David Benning is a Vice-President of Structural Design Partnership, p.c., which is wholly owned by the partners in TKP Architects.
David Benning has a BSCE degree from The University of Minnesota. He holds engineering registrations in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
Dave has more than 25 years experience in structural engineering of both commercial and residential projects. He is extraordinarily well versed in all aspects of conventional light frame and timber construction, with design experience using new, energy efficient systems, including insulated concrete forms (ICF) and structural insulated panels (SIPS).
Dave is especially interested in utilizing solar energy. He is well aquainted with photovoltaic and thermal solar systems, and has designed several roof systems incorporating solar photovoltaic panels.
He has been with TKP and SDP since 1992 and worked as a consultant for the firm from 1986 to 1992.
